Welcome to RICEBIRDFAN.COM

We have been very fortunate to live in a community like El Campo, Texas, and experience what it is like to be an El Campo Ricebird. For many years we have attended and supported Ricebird athletic events, and have been involved in the Ricebird Booster Club.

Mike and I wanted the same opportunity for Travis and Sally...to know what it means to be a Ricebird, and to give back. This site has grown from the idea of wanting to share that Ricebird Spirit. A portion of all sales will be donated to the Ricebird Booster Club.

The Booster Club Golf tournament was once again a big success…The Booster Club has given out about 390 scholarships since we started this tournament in 1992… That equals to $195,000 for our kids..We appreciate all the support for this wonderful project…Fall sports are beginning soon.  Volleyball is already having 2 a day workouts, and football workouts start August 9th.  Good Luck to all our Ricebird teams this school year.

The Ricebird Booster Club annual scrimmage and bar-b-que is set for Friday August 20th.  Hope to see you there.

A Ricebird is the Toughest Bird in Texas. A Ricebird is a champion. A Ricebird is not afraid of hard work and dedication. A Ricebird does what it takes to get the job done. A Ricebird never quits.

The El Campo Ladybird volleyball team took their record to 9-3 on Tuesday night with a 5 set win over Victoria East.  Way to go girls!  The Ladybirds travel to Columbia Friday night to take on the Lady Roughnecks at 7:00.

The Ricebird football team started the 2010 season off with a victory at home versus Waller , 21-7.  D'vonte Wells rushed for over 100 yards on offense, and the defense was led by Bryan Sparks and Joey Hunt.  Way to go Ricebirds!  Next up: Houston Westside at Butler Stadium

Once a Ricebird...Always a Ricebird!

Get ready Ricebird fans. Wear Red...Get Loud.
